Spectacle manufacturing with tradition

Since 1978 natural horn eyeglasses are manufactured by specialists in the production at HOFFMANN horn in Kelberg independently of industrial manufacturing processes.

Natural horn frames are not products off the bar. Only the experience of many years of the HOFFMANN coworkers in handling material and tools developed a product, which looks for their-same in their quality seeming.

One can describe it very well with the term handicraft art, which is not to be found actually anywhere else in eyeglass production except with horn eyeglass specialists.

Besides a trained view for the structure effects of horn is in demand, when the horn plates are arranged for the later eyeglass frames. No plate is identical, no color or color combination alike. The volcanic Eifel is since more a center of the creative German “Hornbrillenmacher”.

In the past years unusual ideas came again and again from this region, which released astonishment on the optics fairs. Here times a new technical detail, there times a new surface seeming.

Also in the future one can expect new from Kelberg. An exclusive product requires also best service. For example the frames can be regenerated from time to time, so that their beauty remains on long time.

Because for HOFFMANN the slogan applies: The customer, who carries the eyeglasses, must be simply content.
